Composition
Each clarizal 500 coated tablet contains:
Clarithromycin 500 mg (according to the American Pharmacopoeia).
Each Clarizal 250 coated tablet contains:
Clarithromycin 250 mg (in accordance with the American Pharmacopoeia)
Therapeutic group:
Clarithomycin is a broad-spectrum, semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic.
Indications:
Clarizal is used to treat the following diseases caused by bacteria that are sensitive to clarithromycin:
Upper respiratory tract infections: pharyngitis, tonsils, sinuses and acute otitis media.
Lower respiratory tract infections: acute and chronic bronchitis and pneumonia.
Skin and soft tissue infections: pyoderma, impetigo, cellulitis, folliculitis, legonella, chlamydia, psoriasis, erysipelas, lymphangitis, skin lesions, as used to treat leprosy, treatment and prevention of opportunistic myco-bacterial infection.
Clarizal is used in the presence of acid inhibitors to erect Helicobacter pylori in patients with peptic ulcers. It is also used experimentally in infections of some priorities, such as toxoplasmosis.
