Composition:
– Each film coated tablet of Cozal® 50 contains:
Losartan Potassium )USP) 50 mg.
– Each film coated tablet of Cozal® 25 contains:
Losartan Potassium (USP) 25 mg.
Pharmacotherapeutic group:
Angiotensin Π receptor antagonist.
Indications:
Cozal® is used in:
– Treatment of essential hypertension in adults, children and adolescent 6-18years of age.
-prophylactic from kidney diseases in adult patients with hypertension and type- II-diabetes with protein urea ≥ 0.5g / day.
-Treatment of chronic heart failure in adult patients when treatment with Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors is not suitable due to incompatibility especially in presence of dry cough or contraindicated.
– Reduction in the risk of stroke in adult hypertensive patient with left ventricle hypertrophy documented by ECG.
