Composition:
– Each Film coated tablet of Osteozal contains:
Vitamin D3 100 IU
Calcium (as calcium carbonate) 400 mg
Magnesium (as magnesium oxide) 150 mg
Zinc (as zinc sulphate) 5 mg
Properties:
– Osteozal is a combination of vitamins and minerals.
– Vitamin D3: Useful for preventing and treating rickets. Also useful for
treating osteoporosis, osteomalacia and bone loss in people with
hyperparathyroidism.
– Magnesium: helps in heamoglobin formation and maturation of red blood
cells.
– Calcium: is involved in the maintenance of the normal function of muscles
and nerves, essential for normal cardiac function and the clotting of blood.
– Zinc: Needed for the body’s immune system to work properly. It plays
a role in cell division, cell growth, wound healing and the breakdown of
carbohydrates. Also needed for the growth and development of the body
during pregnancy, infancy, and childhood.
Indications:
*Osteozal is used for:
– Prevent or treat low blood calcium levels in people who do not get enough
calcium from their diets.
– Deficiency of calcium and minerals.
– It may be used to treat conditions caused by low calcium levels such as
bone loss (osteoporosis), weak bones (osteomalacia/rickets), decreased
activity of the parathyroid gland (hypoparathyroidism).
