Each film coated tablet of Azaformin® 850 contains: Metformin hydrochloride USP 850 mg.
Each film coated tablet of Azaformin® 500 contains: Metformin hydrochloride USP 500 mg.
Pharmacotherapeutic group:
Metformin is an oral antidiabetic medicine belongs to group of Biguanide.
Indications:
Azaformin® is used in:
-Treatment of type 2 diabetes with an adequate diet and exercises. – Reduction of diabetic complications in type 2 diabetic adult patients use Azaformin® as first line therapy.
Adjunction therapy with oral anti diabetic agents or with insulin in adult patients.
Adjunction therapy with insulin in children from 10 years or adolescents. -Unlicensed indication: management of polycystic ovary syndrome, helps to normalise menstrual cycle ,weight reduction and may improve hirsutism.
