Composition:
– Each film coated tablet of Dentacare contains:
Spiramycin 750,000 IU.
Metronidazole 125 mg.
Indications:
Dentacare is highly effective in the treatment of acute, chronic and relapsing stomatological infections such as:
– Buccodental infections due to aerobic and anaerobic germs sensitive to Spiramycin and metronidazole.
– Dental infections as in dental abscesses, stomatitis, aphthous ulcer, perimaxillary cellulitis, pericoronitis, periodontitis and periodontal infection.
– Parotiditis and submaxillaritis.
– Pre and post-operative prophylaxis in odontostomatologic surgery.
– Tonsilitis and gingivitis.
Dentacare can be efficacious in the treatment of patients with AIDs and diarrhea in which cryptosporidium is identified.
Dosage and administration:
– Dentacare is recommended to be used during meals.
Adults: 2 tablets : 2-3 times daily.
Children: 6-10 years: 1 tablet 2 times daily.
10-15 years : 1 tablet 3 times daily.
Contraindications:
– Hypersensitivity to Spiramycin and/or Metronidazole.
– Concomitant use of ergotamine or other vasoconstrictor derivatives of ergot.
– Concomitant use of Disulfiram.
